MSI to Advise and Vote on ISO/IEC JTC1-SC7 US TAG Activities

[Omaha, Neb. - July 15, 2008] - MSI Systems Integrators (MSI), a leading comprehensive provider of hardware, software, and services, has become a full voting member of the ISO/IEC JTC1-SC7 United States Technical Advisory Group (US TAG), representing the United States within ISO/IEC JTC1-SC7 standards committees as a member of the United States delegation.

As a member of JTC1-SC7 US TAG, MSI will advise, bring forward measures for consideration, and vote on proposals that are significant to the international IT community. The US TAG formally advises the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) - the United States national body member of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) - on recommendations for development of ISO/IEC JTC1-SC7 standards such as ISO/IEC 20000. Representation within ISO/IEC JTC1-SC7 includes some of the top corporations, universities, standards and professional organizations in the world, focused on IT-related standards.

MSI's focus within US TAG will be on IT operational services management and IT governance initiatives, and MSI will actively participate in the United States delegation to ISO/IEC JTC1-SC7 plenary and interim sessions internationally. Joint Technical Committee 1-Subcommittee 7 (JTC1-SC7) was jointly formed by the International Organization for Standardization and International Electrotechnical Commission (ISO/IEC) for the development and promulgation of information technology, software, and systems engineering standards, and it is one of the world's largest IT standards organizations.
